In recent years, bamboo flooring has become trendy. Are environmentally conscious homeowners in choosing the on hardwood floors traditional because of their sustainability and environmental origins. However, some critics are warning that a floor Bamboo is not as green as they could be.

A key advantage is that bamboo is a renewable resource. Bamboo is a grass that matures in about three years while many hardwood floors conventional (such as oak) may take 120 years to reach maturity. The bamboo plant regenerates also with replanting and requires minimal fertilization or pesticides. Bamboo floors are also considered water repellent, making the save choice in kitchens and bathrooms.
However, some argue that bamboo is not sustainably managed. While the plant regenerates Forests are cleared to grow bamboo.
